
LINKAGES
Overview
The Linkages and International Office (LIO) is primarily responsible for pursuing strategic and innovation partnerships and collaboration both at the national and international level. It promotes PNU’s internationalization plans and initiatives as well as global competitiveness through strategic linkages and joint partnerships with national and international academic institutions and professional networks that advance the field of teacher education and allied disciplines. It manages PNU’s faculty and student exchange, international students and institutional consortia. It is responsible for advancing PNU’s presence in relevant national and international academic communities and coordinates the University’s participation in global ranking/rating systems.
International Linkages
With the rapid advancement in ICT, liberalization of the global economy and the increased mobility of people across the national borders heightened the participation of HEIs’ in bilateral and multi-lateral academic and cultural cooperation programs among nations. The internationalization thrust of the Philippine Normal University to become an internationally recognized leader in teacher education is the driving force behind the expansion of its international networks and partnerships. International linkages are established and strengthen to promote PNU’s international relation, global positioning and international competitiveness.

National Linkages
As the National Center for Teacher Education (NCTE), PNU strives to maintain its reach to the entire country as part of its advocacy of excellence and service. In its continuing quest to promote the distinct PNU brand of being the source of responsive innovation in teacher education, the PNU seeks to expand and maintain existing national networks of organizations and academic institutions. The different colleges and centers must initiate strategic partnerships and collaborative projects and programs and participate in national conference and forum organized by its networks of partners and linkages.
